The first feature film to be produced by PKFP PARTNERS is currently being acclaimed even though it has been postponed due to the corona crisis.
The theme is "to die" and "to live"

Set in Yamadera in Kagamino Town, Kita Okayama Prefecture, along with an international co-production of selected staff and crew that transcend national boundaries, the beautiful scenery of Hiruzen Kogen, Tsuyama, the Kasaoka Islands, the Seto Inland Sea, and the still faint scenery. Depicting an ancient funeral that remains in the past, it vividly asks what happiness is in modern society and living in the present.
"From Japan to the world" we will do our best to deliver a completely original scripted dark comedy filled with the greatest irony and love, depicting the end of the life of a woman who has continued to fight.

カオルという名の女性が亡くなった。
彼女が残した遺言には、10年前に離婚した元夫・横谷がカオルの葬式の喪主になるようにと、記されていた。
横谷が東京からカオルの故郷・岡山に到着すると、そこに居たのはカオルが遺した9才の一人娘・薫。カオルの通夜、葬儀に集まる様々な人々。脚本家であった彼女のマネージャー、ドラマプロデューサーや先輩や親友や、葬儀を取り仕切る婦人会、地主一家など腹にイチモツありそうな故郷の人々――
そして嵐の夜、事件が起きる！
『カオルの葬式』はある家族の葬儀の場で起きる赤裸々な感情のぶつかりを見事に捉えたホームドラマである。タガの外れた演技の完璧な掛け合いが、パーカッションのリズムが心地よいサウンドトラックと勢いのいい編集と相まって、家族の機能不全を面白く切なく描いたダークコメディに仕上がっている。
